This project is a high-end visual exploration of the University of Tennessee’s “Dark Mode”—a fan-favorite tradition where the Volunteers switch from their classic orange and white to their alternate black jerseys. This concept art was designed to capture the aggressive, modern energy of these special night games, specifically for use on massive arena jumbotrons or high-impact social media campaigns.

Volunteer Spirit
As a self-initiated project, I “nerded out” on the technical details of the gear, ensuring the textures—from the metallic flake in the paint to the fabric weave of the chin strap—looked broadcast-ready.
Technical Refinement: I used this piece to experiment with advanced Redshift shaders, specifically focusing on how to represent “black-on-black” textures without losing the structural definition of the helmet.
Arena-Scale Thinking: I designed the compositions to be “jumbotron-safe,” using bold silhouettes and centered focal points that translate clearly to fans sitting at the top of the stadium.
It just means more
A definitive visual tribute to one of the most exciting traditions in SEC sports. By merging custom 3D modeling with the University’s “Dark Mode” identity, I created a piece of concept art that feels like an official Nike-tier production, ready to hype up a stadium of 100,000 fans.
