A dynamic tutorial short animated for the YouTube Creators channel, designed to walk users through the “Remix” feature. I was responsible for taking the pre-designed storyboards and bringing them to life with fluid, high-energy motion that matches YouTube’s distinct brand voice.
Working from the boards provided by another designer, I translated the static layouts into a 9:16 vertical animation. I focused on the “micro-interactions”—such as the way the Remix icon scales on tap or how the “Collab” layout slides into place—to make the digital experience feel physical and responsive.
UI Integration: I animated realistic app overlays, including the sound waves for the “Sound” tool and the trimming handles for the “Cut” feature. This involved detailed keyframing to ensure the “scrubbing” motion looked identical to how a creator would interact with the app in real life.
Global Brand Consistency: As an animator embedded at YouTube via ASG, I ensured that every transition, font choice, and timing curve aligned perfectly with the YouTube Creators’ design language.
